Project outlineSocial issues concerning food include projected food deprivation linked to the increasing global population and extreme weather, the ageing of agricultural workers and labor shortages and uneven supply and demand for food. There is international action on the SDG ‘Good Health and Well-being’ and it is essential for science to intervene in food and health issues. This Consortium, in particular, develops mostly plants cultivated with cutting-edge technology, develops systems to improve productivity with cutting-edge technology, accelerates social implementation of crops created through cutting-edge technology, develops new functional food ingredients and develops industrial science for useful materials, promoting the creation and expansion of food values and industry innovation in food.
